Proper format for varchar and varchar2 field in Informix
I have a column in a table with type varchar(500) and I want to know what is the proper format for inserting and updating data in that column.
A:
According to the documentation you have a maximum of 512 characters so no, you cannot use a VARCHAR field.
Q:
How to set a custom object’s NSDictionary value in NSUserDefaults in Swift?
I have a custom object that stores some NSDictionary values. I would like to store this object in NSUserDefaults when an item is selected from a tableView, however I cannot seem to get it to work.
I have tried to populate the dictionary with key:value pairs on save, however, this does not work for me.
The error I receive is
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception ‘NSInvalidArgumentException’, reason: ‘Attempt to insert non-property list object of class ‘MarketData’.’
The code that I use to populate the NSDictionary is this:
@objc
public var marketData: NSDictionary = [:]
// other code to set the values in the dictionary
let defaults = NSUserDefaults.standardUserDefaults()
defaults.setObject(marketData, forKey: « MarketData »)
What is the proper way to set the dictionary value
